Book Arts & Printmaking
It is very satisfying for children to start with a stack of paper and end up with a book they have created themselves. We work with inventive book forms as well as traditional bindings. We also decorate papers, illustrate and write as well as bind, so the finished books are very individual and very personal to the student. Students who would rather not work with words can always use images in their artist books.
Relief printing, monoprints and stamping using a variety of techniques and papers. Along with our prints we make inventive cards with decorated papers (in addition to print cards). Parents love this class because students bring home fine art cards that can be used throughout the year.
