Enroll in Summer Art Camp
Our 23rd year!
Summer classes for children who love making art, emphasizing fine art materials and instruction, with a changing curriculum of different art mediums. Projects are varied so students can take more than one session and be challenged with new projects. Join us for a variety of interesting projects and serious fun!
Camps will be arranged a little differently in the summer of 2026, with more cross mixing of mediums.
Painting, Drawing and Movement in Art: In this week we’ll be using painting and drawing to tell a stories. We’ll make one (or two) inventive artists’ books and make a low-tech stop action animation as well as traditional two dimensional painting and drawing artwork.
Painting & Drawing with an emphasis on Photography & Book Making: In this week we’ll be using photography as a basis for our painting, drawing and even printmaking projects. We’ll be making a few artists’ books in this week to house the work we make. Cameras will be provided.
Painting & Drawing: Painting and drawing are the basis for all forms of art. In this week we’ll cover techniques in a variety of painting and drawing media: tempera, watercolors, pastels, pencil, ink, charcoal and acrylics on both paper and canvas. For both beginners and more experienced artists, with individualized attention to the level of the student.
Painting & Drawing with an emphasis on Decorative Arts: In this week we’ll be concentrating on art that is more sculptural or has use in the house or garden. We’ll be using a variety of mediums to create projects: ceramic, fabric, paper maché along with paint and paper.
All classes include a clay project.
Camp will be in-person, with a limit of 18 campers.
