Enroll in Summer Art Camp
Our 19th year!
Summer classes for children who love making art, emphasizing fine art materials and instruction, with a changing curriculum of different art mediums. Projects are varied so students can take more than one session and be challenged with new projects. Join us for a variety of interesting projects and serious fun!
Camp this year will be in-person, all outside, with a limit of 12 campers.
Located on the Berkwood Hedge campus, in downtown Berkeley. Following health department guidelines, we will be social distancing and spending most of the time on art projects with limited play time. Masks and frequent hand washing will be mandatory for campers and camp staff.
It is especially important that your student is able to follow these guidelines, and is happy and able to spend focused time on their artwork.
Location: 1809 Bancroft Way in Central Berkeley
Hours are 9-3, for ages 6*-13**.
*Younger kids need to have completed 1st grade.
**The older set is not bound by age per se, but is up to the student if they are interested in attending. Projects work for students of all ages—some of my older students attend camp past the age of 13. Last year while online, we had the grandmother of a student join us and it was fabulous!
There will be no optional care after 3pm in Summer 2021 camp.
All classes include painting and drawing, and a clay project.
See the options below for more information on each class subject.
We open at 9 am, classes start at 9:30 and end at 2 pm, with breaks and lunch (please provide your own). From 2 to 3 pm we have optional projects and play in the yard.
Camps fill early on a first-come, first-served basis.
A non-refundable deposit of $100 per session per student is due at the time of registration.
The remainder of tuition is due May 15th, 2021, or you can pay in full when registering. No refunds of tuition after June 1st. Refunds of the tuition above the deposit before June 1 are in full except for the transaction fees on PayPal.
Camp may be moved online in the unlikely event that health guidelines prevent us from meeting in person.
